A local move is any move that
begins and ends within a radius of approximately 50 miles.
It can be within a single state or between two states. In
order for a moving company to perform a move within a state
the mover must be licensed by the state Department of
Transportation. For a move between two different states, the
mover needs to be licensed by the U.S. Department of
Transportation.
It is important when choosing a
mover to verify that the mover is licensed within the state
you are moving. If your mover is licensed, it will mean that
your mover has filed his workman's compensation, liability,
& cargo insurance information with the state authorities.

Pricing
Moving services can be very
costly. Regardless of the cost of your move, it is very
important to us that you understand what you are paying for.
In a normal move, the charges will be broken into 4
different components as follows;
Labor
Labor is
the price you are paying for each mover for each hour
that work is being done.
Travel time
The time
it takes our truck to reach your home at the beginning
of the move and the time it takes to return to the
garage after the move is completed.
Packing materials
In order
to perform your move in a professional manner, specific
materials are needed to protect your household goods
during handling and transport.
Insurance
Moving
companies are required by law to provide customers with
insurance coverage at no additional cost. This type of
insurance is based upon weight and will not cover actual
value of an item damaged or lost during a move. You can
supplement the coverage by purchasing additional
coverage.
